Made in December 2011 for Artists Project Earth at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP17) in Durban, South Africa. The Peoples march was made up of people from across the world attending COP17, the crowds included civil society, youth movements, faith groups, union members, women’s rights activists, artists, community voices and the Trans African Caravan of Hope, a convoy made up of almost 300 civil society, activists, environmental scientists, farmers and journalists who travelled across Africa on a 17 day journey to bring its message to COP17. The aim of the march was for the groups to join together and take their memorandums to UNFCCC Chief Christiana Figueres and COP17 President Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
